Pamir Highway Adventure has four attributes that differentiate its services:
- Knowledge of the Eastern Pamirs – one of the remotest locations in the world. Our service providers, homestay owners, tour guides and drivers live in the Eastern Pamirs and have an intimate knowledge of the culture, environment and history of the region.
- We offer trust and reliability. All of the service providers they work with display a welcome and openness to their clients.
- Responsible Tourism is a large part of what Pamir Highway Adventure does. We seek to deliver sustainable solutions to address local environmental, social and economic issues.
- Our ability to collaborate with other Central Asian tour partners ensures smooth transfers across borders and cultures.
Pamir Highway Adventure has received approval to use the WTM world responsible tourism day logo. As part of our programme, we designed and sold a 2012 Pamir Highway calendar, the proceeds of which are being used for tourism development in Tajikistan. Primarily tourism development in Tajikistan is addressing poverty reduction although other aspects of the tourism development programme address climate change (wind power project) and sustainability of our planet (addressing Teresken deforestation).
Pamir Highway Adventure is also working with etc4CA to explore wind as a source of renewable energy in some of the towns and villages in Eastern Pamirs.
