In 2026, Kyrgyzstan once again hosts one of the world’s most vibrant cultural and sporting festivals — the World Nomad Games. The event brings together ancient nomadic sports, traditional crafts, and the rich heritage of Central Asia. This tour includes visits to the main venues of the Games, a full immersion into nomadic life on the Kyrchyn Jailoo, and a journey through iconic locations around Lake Issyk-Kul, including Karakol, Jeti-Oguz Gorge, and scenic canyons on the southern shore.

🗺 Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek

Meet at the airport, transfer to the hotel, and time to rest.

Bishkek City Tour:

  • Central Square
  • Government House
  • Central White Mosque
  • Oak Park and the sculpture alley
  • Open-air bazaars
  • Opera and Ballet Theatre
  • Old Square and National Philharmonic Hall

Opening Ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games
In the afternoon, attend the spectacular opening ceremony at the modern multi-purpose “Bishkek Arena.”

Day 2: Bishkek → Cholpon-Ata / Issyk-Kul: Start of the Games

After breakfast, transfer to Cholpon-Ata on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul — the main hub of the Games.

Key festival venues include:

  • Hippodrome— traditional equestrian competitions
  • Indoor Sports Complex— indoor events and martial arts
  • Beach Zone— outdoor wrestling and sports
  • Kyrchyn Gorge— a large nomadic village with cultural performances

Check into the hotel and enjoy free time to explore the events according to the official schedule.

Day 3: Cholpon-Ata — World Nomad Games

Full day at the Games exploring sports and cultural activities.

Possible events to witness:

  • Alysh — belt-wrestling
  • Falconry demonstrations
  • Traditional bone games
  • The legendary Kok-Boru — a high-adrenaline horseback team sport

Craft bazaars, folk performances, and traditional music are also part of the experience.

Day 4: Kyrchyn Jailoo — Nomadic Culture Experience

After breakfast, drive to Kyrchyn Jailoo (about 30 km from Cholpon-Ata).

Kyrchyn features:

  • Over 300 traditionally decorated yurts
  • A fully recreated nomadic village
  • Traditional crafts, music, and cultural rituals
  • Warm welcome by locals dressed in traditional attire
  • Festive atmosphere and folk celebrations

This is one of the most colorful parts of the World Nomad Games.

Day 5: Cholpon-Ata → Karakol → Jeti-Oguz Gorge → Ton (Southern Issyk-Kul)

After breakfast, head toward the eastern and southern parts of the Issyk-Kul region.

Stops along the way:

  • Karakol:
  • Przewalski Museum
  • Dungan Mosque (built in 1910)
  • Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral
    • Jeti-Oguz Gorge: home to “Seven Bulls” and “Broken Heart” red rock formations
    • Fairy Tale Canyon: a 1–1.5-hour hike through uniquely shaped clay and sandstone landscapes

Arrive in Ton by evening. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Bokonbaevo → Ak-Sai Canyon → Bishkek

After breakfast, visit Ak-Sai Canyon for a short hike to a scenic viewpoint and a refreshing swim in the lake.

Enjoy a lakeside picnic in Ak-Sai.
Then transfer back to Bishkek via the southern shore and the Orto-Tokoi Reservoir.

Hotel check-in and leisure time.
