Day 1 – Bishkek to Song Kol Lake (325km 7/8h)
After breakfast transfer to the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan – Son Kul Lake.It is situated at the height of 3013 meters above sea level and surrounded by beautiful mountains. It is a great place where you can experience a nomadic lifestyle and relax from busy city life. On arrival, you will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings. You will have dinner and overnight at Kyrgyz yurts, which are made of a wooden skeleton, covered with felt coverings. Yurts are built without nails.

Day 3 – Kazarman to Arslanbob (251km 5/6h)
We departure today from Kazarman to Arslanbob, on route we cross the stunning Kaldama Pass (2,992m) to reach Arslanbob Village, home to the world’s largest walnut forest. On arrival, explore the village’s picturesque trails and waterfalls, immersing yourself in its tranquil atmosphere. Hike to the Panorama Hill, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 4 – Arslanbob to Osh (230km 4/5h )
We depart early this morning for the journey to Osh. Before arriving in Osh we visit the ancient minaret and mausoleums in Uzghen around 60km from Osh. Osh is Kyrgyzstan’s oldest city.

Day 5 – Osh – Sary Tash Tulpar Kul nomad village (245km 5/6h)
Today we drive from Osh to Sary Mogol village, via beautiful Alay ranges and over the Taldyk Pass (3615 m). We will stop for a lunch in between. Once we pass the village of Sary Tash, the natural scenery of Pamir Alay range is spectacular. You could even see, we will arrive Kyrgyz nomadic village near the lake Tulpar Kol, the village is close to see Lenin Peak (7134m).

Day 6. Tulpar Kul to Lenin Peak (Horse riding and hiking)
Today in the morning we will start with horse our adventure to see the Lenin Peak more closely, these open valleys are beautiful. There many nomadic herders living in the lower planes of the peak Lenin.

Day 7 – Tulpar Kul – Sary Tash via Kara Kul – Murghab (285km 6/7h)
This drive will see us enjoy some of the most dramatic scenery of the trip with the lunar like landscapes and bright turquoise lakes providing stunning backdrops. We also cross the Kyzyl Art pass (4282 metres), which essentially forms the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan before arriving at Lake Karakul.
After lunch or Picnic around the lake we head for Murghab anticipating an arrival time in the late afternoon. En route we shall cross more high passed including the highest point on the tour the Ak-Baital Pass (4655 metres). Murghab itself situated at 3670m has few attractions but we will explore the area a little and if we are lucky to have clear conditions we may be able to view the distant Chinese peak of Muztag Ata (7546m).

Karakul Lake
Karakul Lake is the highest lake in Central Asia, and at 3915 metres, too high to support any aquatic life. Surrounded by high mountains which block the humid air masses, Karakul receives less than 30mm of precipitation a year. Karakul means “black lake” but in spring, summer and autumn the water is almost always a spectacular turquoise blue.
Spreading across Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and China the Pamirs are situated at the junction of some of the world’s highest mountain ranges – the Himalayas, the Hindu Kush and the Tian Shan among others, and with peaks exceeding 7000m are known locally as ‘the Roof of the World’. With numerous glaciers and covered in snow throughout the year, the climate here is unforgiving with only a short summer season. Nevertheless the Pamirs are home to both people and wildlife – of the latter notable species include the Marco Polo sheep and snow leopard. Communities and villages in the Pamirs are isolated, separated from each other in valleys and with different villages often speaking different dialects, even though they may not be far from each other as the crow flies. It was in this region that the last stages of the ‘Great Game’ – the territorial rivalry between the empires of Russia and Britain – were played out in the late 19th century, with intrepid adventurers mapping the high passes and staking claims for king and country. The Pamir Highway, running from Dushanbe to Osh, is the second highest in the world (after the Khardung La Pass in the Ladakh region of India).
Day 8 – Murghab to Nomadic camp – Kengshiber (165km 4/5h) Yak-Riding
This is the Pamir Highway we have anticipated, with the route between Khorog and Osh completed in 1931 across a Tibetan-plateau style high altitude terrain.
An excellent and adventures trip will take us on the unspoiled lunar landscape of high mountains and wide plateau to Keng Shiber herders camp. Short stops at the “Ak Balyk” Lake and Mouseleum of Alimbek datka at Bashgumbez en route. The Eastern Pamirs have been populated by nomadic ethnic Kyrgyz since the 17th century. The traditional architecture is beautifully represented by yurts, mobile habitations made of felt on an ingenious wooden frame, with the interior decoration bearing witness to the wealth and skills of the owners. Felt and wool serve as the basis for handicrafts. Precise stones, including rubies and emeralds, are also found in the area, and these are sometimes used in local handicrafts. Day 10 – Trekking to Engels peak (40km 10/13h)
Today after breakfast we drive to peak Engels, trekking around the peak.
The Engel’s Peak Meadows hike takes you to a green meadow just below 4000 m where you can admire views of Engel’s Peak and the Hindu Kush mountains behind you. The Engel’s Peak Meadows hike can be done as a one or two day trek. Engel’s Peak Meadows hike is a moderate hike without any technical or particularly difficult parts except the altitude and the altitude gain from about 3200 m to about 4000 m.
Depending on which village you start and end in, the Engel’s Peak Meadows hike is approximately 20 km there and back from the beginning of the trail near Dirch and it can take from 6 to 12 hours depending on the fitness and experience of the hikers. The hike can be also started from Zong or Langar which adds few hours and steep climb to the total hiking duration so it is best to leave early if you wish to make it in one day.

Day 11 – Langar – Ishkashim (135km 5/6h)
Morning we will walk down if we stayed in Tent Camp to the point, and driver will catch up you then continue our trip.
Today we drive along the fabled Wakhan Valley. We stop at the village of Vrang to visit at the 4th Century Buddhist stupas. In Yammg we stop for visit Sufy museum and lunch. There are a number of these ancient fortresses in the area, and we also visit Yamchun fort, perhaps the most impressive of them. We take a break at the Bibi Fatima hot springs, named for the Prophet Mohammed’s daughter and where local women believe they can increase their fertility. Before arriving in Ishkashim we shall stop at Namadgut to visit the Khahkha Fortress. This impressive structure rises from a naturally formed platform of rock and dates back to the Kushan era of the 3rd Century.

The Wakhan Valley (also pronounced Vakhan) is a majestic alpine valley in the Badakhshan region of Tajikistan and Afghanistan (the Wakhan Corridor refers to the part of the valley in Afghanistan). It is located in the Pamir Mountains and its upper reaches consist of two wide hilly plains surrounded by alpine peaks beginning near the Chinese border in one of the most remote regions of the world. Further down where the Pamir and Wakhan rivers join to form the Panj River, the valley narrows and becomes essentially a canyon with roaring river rapids fed by glaciers from some of the highest mountains on the planet.
Day 12 – Ishkashim – Khorog (138km 4/5h)
After breakfast we continue our drive through the Wakhan Valley stopping at Garmchasma hot springs for an (optional) dip in the waters. On arrival in Khorog we will take relax.

Day 13 – Khorog to Kalaikhumb (260 km 6/7hours)
Today we set off in Kalaikhumb, driving back through beautiful scenery, The road joins the river Piano, which in turn forms the border with Afghanistan. The contrast across the river valley is telling, Tajikistan is undoubtedly a poor country, but in general the roads are sealed and buildings are connected with electricity. The situation barely 100m away is even starker, and it is as if the river represents not just a physical divide, but also a step back in time.

Day 14 – Kalaikhumb to Dushanbe (360 km 7/8 hours)
